Inspired by the function of cleats found on sailboats, Cima – Italian for nautical rope – is a “suspended” lamp featuring a ceiling-to-floor rope, an elegant and highly functional design element.

A joint that holds the body of the lamp moves vertically along the rope, while the counterweight allows any excess rope to be readjusted.

The simple cylindrical shapes and the black color of these elements highlight the three glossy finishes of the rope, the vibrant notes of any interior and ambient decoration.

Cima is a “suspended” lamp conceived as a practical lighting solution that can be quickly modified to meet the needs of the user. The distinctive feature of Cima is a rope that goes from the ceiling to the floor, a graphic and functional element with an eyelet that allows it to be fixed to the ceiling. An injection molded polymer joint moves vertically along the string and locks in at any desired point. The body of the lamp that is supported on the joint rotates to illuminate wherever it is needed. The counterweight allows you to readjust any excess string in low ceilings. The switch is located on the power cord for ease of use.

With its cylindrical shapes and the material, sophisticated and technical black surface, the body of the lamp, the joint and the counterweight highlight the colors of the rope — gold, yellow or silver. The multiple configurations and the use of GU10 bulbs make Cima a flexible lamp capable of adapting to the lighting needs of each environment. With Cima lighting can be easily shared and dimmed, creating a feeling of inclusion within the range of the light wave.
