Floor lamp Flar, designed by Patrick Norguet, for Lodes
The name Flar picks up echoes of the French term "flamboiement", a flare or intense burst of light. Flar is extremely simple and, at the same time, enormously decorative: it is a floor and table lamp that wants to be seen.
Inspired by traditional storm lanterns that used glass tubes to protect the flame, Flar incorporates a wavy glass shade designed to surround an LED filament bulb to amplify the light source and diffuse a very soft, filtered light. tinted glass, almost like a contemporary candle.
Flar includes a steel base that opens like a flower to reveal a blown glass shade. The contrast between the precise 3D laser cutting of the base and the exclusivity of the blown glass bubble highlights Flar's personality.
Flar is available in two x sizes: the large one, 62.5 cm high, and the medium one, 47 cm. The 3D laser-cut steel base is available in Earth and Champagne finishes, while the blown glass shade is available in two colours, Honey and Turquoise. The power cord is black, with a regulator on the switch.
The Flar collection adapts to different uses, from illuminating a console to being placed on a small table next to a sofa. Together, the two sizes offer the opportunity to play with scale to create a unique composition for a hotel lobby or shop.
