Tunds
Tunds produces the lamps of the architect José Antonio Coderch from sketches in archives of the Universidad del Vallés. Some lamps that will last a lifetime.
Tunds aims to faithfully reflect the spirit, style and above all the original desire that the Designer wants to convey with the Edition of his Work. The designs they publish, whether they are their own or assigned, are born out of a tireless concern to offer quality products with a high degree of functionality and simplicity.
The best-known work of the architect José Antonio Coderch de Sentmenat (Barcelona, 1913 - Espolla, 1984), a fundamental figure in postwar Spanish architecture and a reference for later generations, is not a building. It is a lamp: the so-called Disa, or Coderch lamp, an award-winning and praised model with a pumpkin shape and color, which despite soon turning 60 years of its creation is still synonymous with modernity and belongs to the most exclusive family of furniture from Author.
Tunds the Disa lamp as always with the development supervision of the Coderch heirs. Starting from the original designs of the brilliant architect, Tunds has kept the so-called Coderch Spirit intact in the edition of versions of the Disa Lamp and the manufacture of the unpublished Cister lamp.
