Pix suspension lamp, designed by Simon Legald, for Normann Copenhagen .
Distinguished by its timeless silhouette, the Pix lamp collection has captivated design enthusiasts for its composition of recycled plastic waste and unique pixelated expression. The lampshades are created by mixing and granulating plastic waste in various shades of white, resulting in a captivating texture and color composition.
This ingenious production process allows for a circular life cycle. The thickness of the Pix lamp material gives it an opaque appearance when the light is turned off, transforming into a translucent moon-like design when illuminated. The light radiating from the bulb beautifully highlights the grainy structure of the lampshade, creating a charming ambience.
Pix ceiling lights can also be used as a wall light. The Pix light comes with a silver painted steel canopy, making it easy to install on both walls and ceilings. They can be conveniently connected directly to the power socket or via a power cable through a hole on the side of the canopy.
The Pix’s minimalist design and versatile sizes make it perfect for any space, from residential areas above kitchen counters and dining tables to living room corners, sophisticated hallways, and commercial settings such as restaurants, hotel lobbies, and department stores. Its charismatic glow and distinctive presence blend easily with surrounding interiors, adding a cozy and stylish touch.
Material: (LDPE) 95% Low-density polyethylene industrial waste (Depending on the color of the drill, this number varies between 85-95%), Virgin PE 5%.
