Lounge Bit, designed by Simon Legald, made from 85-95% industrial and household plastic waste.
Lounge Bit, designed by Simon Legald, for Normann Copenhagen .
Designed to adapt to the diversity of modern living needs, the Bit furniture collection transcends traditional notions of indoor living, inviting the outdoors in and vice versa. The collection features a line of designs that amplify the options for creating unique indoor and outdoor environments, all capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from -10°C to +50°C.
Made from 85-95% industrial and household plastic waste, Bit’s designs are manufactured using a rotational moulding technique. This process, which heats plastic fragments to a melting point of 120°C, allows for repeated cycles of reuse and reheating without compromising the material’s properties, ensuring a circular lifecycle for years to come.
Spanning a wide range of designer pieces, the versatile and adaptable Bit recycled furniture collection is designed to blend seamlessly into a variety of environments, from bustling cafés and chic hotel lobbies to spacious patios and cozy lounge areas in both private and commercial settings.
Bit also comes as a lounge chair, side table, coffee table, stool and bar stool in a variety of colours.
The innovative material composition means that variations in pattern and colour are part of the design, making each Bit unique.
