Jalousi sideboard, designed by Simon Legald, reinterprets the classic cabinet with roll-up doors from the 50s.
Jalousi sideboard, designed by Simon Legald, for Normann Copenhagen .
Clocks, conveyor belts and furniture from the 1950s were some of the sources of inspiration for the Jalousi furniture collection. From that cocktail, Simon Legald has created a contemporary collection of storage furniture, interpreting the classic roll-front cabinet. The Jalousi furniture collection, consisting of a sideboard, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe, is characterized by its minimalist language and a mix of contrasting materials. All designs feature practical roller shutters in attractive color tones. The colored shutters form an attractive contrast to the cabinet body in an oak veneer with solid oak legs. The combination of materials and the graphic repetition of the shutter elements make the style young and masculine. Jalousi is a versatile collection that can be used anywhere storage is required. For ring binders and stationery in an office setting, glass and porcelain storage in the dining room or for books and trinkets in the living room. Mobile shelves make it easy to tailor cabinets to meet individual needs.
