The Form collection embodies simplicity and functionality combined.
With cohesive family traits, Form chairs, armchairs, stools and tables are versatile and timeless dining furniture with a clean, contemporary design.
Combining functionality, aesthetics and a simple design, Simon Legald has designed Form to adapt to all environments. The collection is characterized by high durability and an exclusive character. With a range of molded chairs, armchairs, stools and dining tables, Simon Legald fuses a strong historical design language with innovative industrial design production.
About the design Simon Legald explains: “I have developed a technique that allows the connections between the frame and the seat to be a naturally integrated part of the design. The frame is secured by a single plastic mold, which makes it appear almost as if the frame is coming out of the case. This gives flexibility to the design and makes it possible to vary the frame in many ways. Form Chair is a combination of traditional craftsmanship and design history. At the same time, it is completely unique. "
The Form stools are designed by combining a wooden or steel frame with a molded plastic seat, while the table has oak legs and a table covered in linoleum. Different materials come together elegantly and help accentuate high-quality craftsmanship, leaving furniture with a clean and simple expression.
The way is about prioritizing functionality and simplicity without compromising on quality and design. Form is made of an easy to maintain material, leaving you with timeless dining room furniture. Create a classic, unique and contemporary decoration with Form.
The Form concept was Simon Legald's graduation project at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2012, a project for which he earned top marks. From the initial idea, it has taken 3 years to develop the Form series. It has become one of Normann Copenhagen most popular product designs in record time.
