Cuadrat portable lamp, designed by Josep Novell and Ernest Perera, for Alma Light Barcelona .
The Cuadrat lamp is a cordless luminaire that can be used interchangeably as a table lamp and as a pendant.
The Cuadrat portable lamp, with IP45, is designed to illuminate indoor and outdoor areas that lack sockets as it is a battery-powered cordless lamp. What we like most about Cuadrat is that, with a single model, we have a table lamp or an original pendant, depending on how it is placed. The holes located in the base are purely decorative when the lamp is used as a table lamp, and in turn serve to place a strip of leather that turns it into a pendant lamp that can be placed anywhere: on the branch of a tree, in a wall ledge, on a hook or on an awning. In addition, a practical 'touch dimmer' has been incorporated into the base that allows, in addition to turning the light on and off, to regulate its intensity according to the environment you want to create.
The light source is a 1.3W Cree LED, with a temperature of 3000K and a maximum intensity of 150 lumens. The light is adjustable in intensity by means of the aforementioned 'on/off/dimmer' touch switch located on the base. Its lithium polymer battery is rechargeable using any USB charger -the same one we use for our Android mobile-, it takes about 5 hours to charge and offers a range of about 7 hours. The lampshade is made of rotomolded polyethylene and the base is made of iron. It comes in three textured finishes: white, corten-brown and anthracite-grey. Supplied without charger (can be ordered separately) and with the leather strap to hang it.
