For 10 years and based on the model of the famous Acapulco chair, Boqa has been manufacturing a growing range of furniture made of steel and braided Scoubidou threads that marked the design of the 50s and 60s.
Between retro and modern lines, Boqa offers ingenious models full of good humor, as evidenced by the mythical Acapulco armchair, the star product of the collection.
Boqa was born during a trip to Mexico where its two co-founders learned about Mexican braiding techniques and were seduced by the Acapulco armchair and its variations in the manufacturing workshops. Now Boqa is a young brand specializing in plastic rod furniture, 100% made in France.
Today, Boqa reissues furniture designed for outdoor and indoor use, working with local companies and artisans to guarantee a 100% French production, respectful of traditions, the environment and representative of a colorful art of living.
They also develop in close collaboration with young European designers their own creation always at the forefront of innovation and aesthetic research for timeless and brilliant novelties!
