For designers George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, design is about telling stories. This is what happens with its new Konoha proposal, a wall light with a double function, which explains - and solves - the different types of lighting that we need around us. From curiosity and analysis, they take into account many variables, especially those that connect with emotions; Light is probably the most intimate element of an environment and its design must be comprehensive, functional and have a purpose.

The architecture studio Yabu Pushelberg - recognized worldwide for its large number of hospitality projects - considers that lighting in hotel rooms is often redundant. In the same room, direct lighting and ambient light are needed and so they decide to combine both functions in a single design.

The result is a simple, discreet wall light, with a screen that houses a directed light source that can move 360 ​​degrees. The screen, like a hat, covers the spotlight and allows the light to bounce inside and project a soft beam of light, creating warm ambient lighting. At the same time, if the light source is focused downwards, it casts direct light and becomes a reading lamp. The Konoha design is available in different colors, neutral and organic tones that fit into different spaces. It works as a reading lamp in a living room, in any room or in a hotel. It also works as a point of light for passage areas, as a wall lamp in restaurants or to provide ambient lighting at the entrance of a hotel.

Konoha invites you to interact with light, to use it at all times, and to have it have double, or perhaps multiple, functions.
