The Gambosa lamp resembles a sculpture in perfect balance, composed of sophisticated colors. Its creator, Mathias Hahn, offers a modern take on the table lamp, a design that challenges the traditional static rigidity of this type of lamp.
A design crafted from steel, Gambosa simplifies the structural elements of a lamp—shade, stem, and base—and unites them in a way that makes them appear unconnected. Its curved shade seems to float delicately, lending dynamism, while the stem rests on a flat base, the only element providing stability. Gambosa is a collection of balanced geometries that interact harmoniously.
This lamp is not only beautiful in its composition, but also in its color palette. The shade is available in pale pink or black, opaque versions that provide direct light, or in opal methacrylate that projects diffused illumination. The stems are offered in orange and moss gray, and the base in stone gray. The multi-color edition offers a matrix-like collection, each with its own aesthetic character, ranging from understated to more expressive versions. Available in two sizes: 26 cm in diameter and 30 cm in height, and 36 cm in diameter and 41 cm in height. The cable is also an integral part of the design. It descends from the top and is guided and secured by a retainer, preventing it from slipping out and adding to its aesthetic appeal.
