TXL floor lamp, designed by Mathias Hahn for Marset .
The materials, the techniques evolve and the lamps too. The TXL has managed to excellently illuminate the exterior with the same warmth as if it were an interior. But "everything has to change to stay the same" and so it is revised to appear with a new textile screen. This new material better withstands adverse weather conditions and presents a lamp with a ductile appearance but solid and forceful.
The new TXL wants to fill the space with its own light; Its aesthetics are impressive due to its dimensions, but it is the textile material that allows the light to pass through its screen and vibrate.
Another change that the designer grants is the base, now in cast concrete, making it sharper and in one piece. Tough and colossal, the TXL thrives but remains essentially the same and continues to do its job: Moving the cozy light from a home to the outdoors.
Cement base and stainless steel stem.
Acid white glass diffuser and textilene lampshade with the interior always in white.
