Cabana suspension lamp, designed by Isaac Piñeiro, for a-emotional light
The Cabana lamp seeks to offer a feeling of seclusion and shelter similar to the Galician cabins that served as a structure to protect raw materials or as shelter from inclement weather.
It is a lamp created using the 3D knitting method for manufacturing its lampshade, commonly used in the textile industry but little applied in lighting. This process makes it possible to create screens without seams and in three dimensions, without generating excess fabric.
The upper clamping piece, made of aluminium, the fabric and gravity do the rest. The parchment diffuser provides the weight for the lamp to take its shape. In addition, it provides light filtering that generates very comfortable homogeneous lighting, like the shelter of the cabins.
Its placement is very simple and facilitates disassembly to replace the light source. In addition, by using recycled and recyclable material, the lamp can be shipped in a small package and stretched to take its final shape and volume, reducing its carbon footprint.
It comes in a range of three colours: electric blue, orange and off-white. However, their production allows work in different colors and can be adapted to the needs of each project and generate the appropriate environment for the space and people.
