The Layer collection of sideboards, designed by Mathieu Gustafsson for Design House Stockholm , is a sophisticated exploration of geometry, rhythm and perception, where the design plays with the balance between showing and hiding.

Neither completely open nor totally closed, Layer sparks curiosity through its subtle openings, offering glimpses of its contents without fully revealing them. This visual interplay transforms everyday storage into an aesthetic experience, inviting you to discover what lies within.

Crafted from solid wood and oak veneer, the collection is distinguished by its use of grain arranged in horizontal and vertical patterns, creating an elegant and dynamic graphic composition. The absence of handles reinforces its minimalist aesthetic: the doors open via discreet grooves integrated into the design.

Layer has been conceived with special attention to volume, proportion, and rhythm, resulting in pieces that combine visual lightness with a solid, architectural presence.
