Take a look at the Air furniture collection. "I have been fascinated by cane weaving since I was a child, when I was spending my time between Sweden and France," says Mathieu Gustafsson.
The two sideboards use woven rattan to achieve a semi-transparent look that is contemporary and retro.
“I have been fascinated by cane weaving since I was a child, when I spent my time between Sweden and France,” says Mathieu Gustafsson. "Paris had Thonet chairs in every bistro, and Stockholm had Palmgren's classic wicker bag from the 1950s, where you could get a glimpse of what was hidden inside."
To reduce the footprint of these pieces, Mathieu plays with airy transparency.
The sideboard can be equipped with interior lighting to amplify the feeling.
Access holes also allow easy wiring of electrical appliances and various multimedia devices.
