TotCor New York City Vase 3 is Piet Mondrian's version of Pepa Reverter's Cor, for the Thyssen Bornemisza museum. Modernity, abstract thought and the links that make creativity flourish.
TotCor New York City Vase 3, designed by Piet Mondrian, for TotCor Project and produced for the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum
The heart is a universal symbol. We have not invented it. We have simply materialized it to give it visibility. This representation of the heart is sometimes present in our cultures, at certain times of the year, or on the occasion of certain events. We use it when we need to remember how important it is to love, when we want to share and express good feelings.
What we have done is to shape it so that it is present in volume.
To be able to have it at home as one more object, with fresh flowers, paper, plastic, with branches or nothing, and if it can be full of illusions and hope so that they draw a better future.
The red COR vase is the original design that serves as the basis for the other collaborations of the Tot Cor project. It is made in ceramic, by hand, like all those that are added to the collection.
Piet Mondrian supports TotCor Project with his New York City version of Pepa Reverter's Cor vase. The Thyssen Bornemisza Museum through its art collections brings us closer to our own history, and through Mondrian to Modernity, abstract thought and the links that make our creativity flourish.
