Kzeng Jiang's version of The Guest figurine created by Jaime Hayon for Lladró. A unique character embodies the symbology of traditions such as Chinese facial painting or the flowers of the Song dynasty.
The Guest figurine designed by Kzeng Jiang for Lladró.
This version of The Guest bears the signature of Kzeng Jiang, the first artist of Chinese origin to join the creative universe of this iconic character.
A Shanghai-based creative, his work captures the contemporary culture of the Orient through vibrant and radical illustrations.
Kzeng seeks to capture his cultural roots through the symbology of traditions such as Chinese face painting or Song dynasty flowers.
On a chromatic level, the artist uses blues on white porcelain to seek visual harmony and balance. Colors that are combined with golden luster strokes to create that feeling of prestige that was so typical of ancient Chinese porcelain.
The result is a creation that conveys the elegance that porcelain provides and is an example of the most conceptual and contemporary design.
Handmade in the Lladró workshops in Spain.
