The same goes for this coffee table made of concrete. At first glance, it is brutalist. But look around you, the details are beginning to emerge.
Various styles and time periods converge. The general shape of the table is inspired by modernism. The decorative frieze in bas-relief takes up the designs of the Bauhaus school. The glass-topped recess is a nod to the 1970s.
Each of these elements plays with light and shadow in its own way.
