The Spun armchair is a seat in motion, which turns on itself. Designed by Thomas Heatherwick in 2010, Spun has won the Compasso d'Oro ADI award in 2014.
Spun Armchair, designed by Thomas Heatherwick, for Magis Design
It is not just a new seat, it is a new way of conceiving the seat and also of sitting: Spun.
Its harmonious, dynamic and perfectly symmetrical volume is reminiscent of a spool of thread, a spinning top, or a vase that takes shape on a wheel.
Fascinating contemporary sculpture when it stops, Spun becomes a cozy and fun moving seat, in which to discover new sensations and, perhaps, recover the pleasure of swinging, turning 360°, playing with things and the world around us .
From the creativity of Thomas Heatherwick and the research of Magis, an unconventional project that has already won one of the most important awards in the world of design: the Compasso d'Oro ADI 2014.
