Samurai is a modern armchair, made of turned oak wood sections with the seat and backrest in high quality leather or canvas. While studying the hunting chairs of the mid-20th century, designers Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl have created a modern interpretation of the low-rise hunting chair type, with a construction inspired by Japanese simplicity combined with Danish stick chairs. from the 1950s.
Samurai is offered with premium reinforced Sorensen Leathers saddle leather, which folds around the saddle like armor and wears the body with ease. The seat is mounted with brass rivets for maximum strength, while the backrest is mounted with adjustable leather straps and brass buckles. Both the leather and canvas are handcrafted in Denmark in the proud tradition of Danish furniture.
