Created at the end of the 19th century, folding furniture immediately became a real hit with cafes of the time: simple and quick to store, folding furniture saved them the cost of a fixed terrace license.
This is the original "Simplex" model described in the 1889 patent, which Fermob used to develop the Bistro chair range. These chairs are full of ingenuity, simplicity, and cheerfulness, and they haven't lost any of their charm or authenticity!
