Unfold the light or pick it up. The new design by the PérezOchando studio proposes a large-format, flexible lamp, designed to adapt to different lighting needs in large spaces.
A vertical black structure is the central axis from which several rods emerge, some can be moved up to expand the light, and others down to shrink it. They all have a suspended focus that projects lighting directed downwards, and with a very wide and clear beam of light. The different cylindrical spotlights -with an inner ring available in ivory, terracotta or gold- distribute the light evenly.
This decorative lamp, with a very graphic profile, easy to sketch, is inspired by the old winder: an instrument used to wind thread or wire around an axis and form a ball. Its authors Claudia Pérez and Pedro Ochando are not interested in the function of this accessory, but in its shape that allows vertical movement with horizontal effect.
A light, sober and functional design with a lot of presence that can vary its size -up to 2 meters in diameter- for a large space or fold on itself to limit itself to a smaller area. The designers say that the sensation of magnitude that one feels when being under the lamp is like being under an illuminated dome. The most important thing is that, whatever its size, it always provides exceptional ambient lighting.
