Dome Bover

The integration of design, art and light in architecture goes back a long way, perhaps it is for this reason that, little by little, lamps have ceased to be just a light-emitting object to become light sculptures that exalt and they confer a special character to the object and its surroundings.

At Dome we decided to take the light out of the object, let it be a light sculpture created and designed to receive and emit a subtle light, a play of shadows and nuances that enrich the space for which they are created.

Developing this project with Benedetta has allowed us to reflect on the art of lighting, reinterpret light and create objects that are closer to art than industrial development.

Let ourselves go and do what we really like. The realization of these light sculptures is completely handmade and is carried out entirely in the BOVER Barcelona facilities. More than 170 fragments are needed to compose this great meccano of small and large pieces of wood, wisely intertwined and sewn one by one by the expert hands of those who know well the manual trade that requires the preparation and care of all our products made in headband.

Materials: Iron, Aluminium, Beech finish wood.

The light source is situated above the structure, projecting beautiful mosaics of light on the lower surfaces.
