Most Illustrious Achille, designed by Elena Salmistraro for the Italian ceramic manufacturer Bosa.

Most Illustrious, is a tribute and a token of gratitude to the masters of Italian design.

Each figurine represents the essential features of the designers and the works that made them famous in the world, thus underlining the unique relationship between designers and their projects: “we are what we create”.

Most Illustrious Achille pays homage to designer Achille Castiglioni. Elena Salmistraro made this sculpture for the centenary of her birth, in 2018

“Most Illustrious is a collection for those people who, perhaps without knowing it, have contributed so much to my perception of design. His commitment and his works have shaped and educated my vision and my taste; as truthful teachers, they didn't need to introduce themselves, speak or tell their ideas to stand out; the energy of their creations was enough to make me understand who they really were and what their vision was, proving that all designers are what they create, in the end. I had fun mixing colors, stacking objects and shapes to create a kind of tribute that, with great humility, shows the way I see them”. Elena Salmistraro.
